A busy weekend

December 8th, 2009 Frank No comments

That was a busy weekend. Apart from a bit of Christmas shopping, we had the Deepdene Nursery edit to finish and then on Friday we had to film the Pre-Prep classes performing their annual nativity play. Because we always try to produce the DVDs before the school breaks up, it was straight back to the studio to start the edit on this one.

Saturday and we were off to Weybridge to film Lizzie and Stephens wedding. Although it was a grey day, the rain held off while the guests arrived at the church. It started to rain just as the ceremony started, but luckily had stopped enough when everyone came out. Harry the photographer managed to get the groups, although Lizzie was starting to feel the cold by the end of the photo session!

The reception was at Burhill Golf Club, which looked seasonal with illuminated Christmas trees outside. The guests were welcomed with mince pies. The weather got worse, with a steady downpour, but everyone was inside in the dry and warm.

We got some good footage and start on the edit this week. At least this week won’t be quite as hectic.

As it’s Christmas we have uploaded the highlights of the Deepdene Nativity Play. Enjoy!

Deepdene Nursery Nativity Play

December 2nd, 2009 Frank No comments

Must be nearly Christmas already! This morning we filmed the Deepdene School Nursery Nativity Play. We’ve been filming this for the last five years.

We do two plays for the school; the Nursery classes and the Pre-Prep classes. We’ll be filming the Pre-Prep play on Friday. The youngsters in the nursery play are great. They really don’t know what’s going on and they don’t have the inhibitions that we all acquire as we get older. So during the play they are pulling faces, waving to the audience and generally doing their own thing.

Anyway, it all went without a hitch, with a lot of help, and encouragement from the Deepdene staff. The parents loved it. We have already started on the edit as we have to turn around both plays before the end of next week. It’s a bit of a rush, but we always get there.
