Joe and Natalie’s Wedding

Saturday saw us at The Buxted Park Hotel in Sussex to film Natalie and Joe’s wedding video.  Although a bit cloudy when we arrived, the sun broke through giving us a lovely sunny day – although sometimes a bit too warm for those wearing their wedding suits!  The marriage ceremony had a two nice readings from friends of Joe and Natalie plus a surprise performance from a Barber Shop Quartet.

With 120 guests there was plenty going on and plenty to film throughout the day. After the meal and speeches we took Joe and Natalie down to a small lake to film some footage of the two of them. This will look nice on their wedding video. It often isn’t realised just how little ‘romantic’ footage there is on the day and how difficult it is to get footage of just the couple on their own. I wish more couples would make time during the day for the videographer to do what we do best!!!!  After filming this sequence Joe told me how much they had actually appreciated the break and a chance just to be on their own for a few minutes.

The evening brought out the best in the wedding guests who were clearly in party mood. Cover band ‘ In Yer Face’ performed a great set with some of the old classics.  Great performers, the band had the guests on the dance floor for some really lively footage. We have posted a short clip from the evening, given a little tastes of the atmosphere and action.

We finally finished filming at 10.00 pm. with some good fotage in the bag. However, after getting half way home I realised that I had left a tripod behind and had to drive all the way back to Buxted Park!
