What they say about our wedding videos

June 29th, 2009 Frank No comments

We had a message from David and Jo about their wedding video that we filmed earleir this month in Brighton. The video that included the mad Tuk Tuk ride to The Palace Pier.

” Good evening Frank,
We really do not know where to start!
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We absolutely LOVE our AMAZING Video!! We have alreadly watched it with many family and friends.
Thank you so much for all of the hard work that has so obviously gone into the editing and we love where you have put all of the music!

We are extremely grateful that you managed to fit HALO into our video, and we thought it was in the perfect place, thank you. It is great to have the un-edited footage, we have not managed to get through both discs as yet but watch another little part at every opportunity.

Once again, thank you to both yourself and Natalie for blending in so fantastically during the day, it was a pleasure to have you both there.

An incredible video that takes us both and all of our family straight back to the day each and every time we watch it. Worth every single penny, we are so pleased that we decided to have a video and that you were available to work with us.

Eternally grateful and extremely happy
Jo and David ”

Rebecca and Blaine’s Wedding

Ushers with attitude from Digital Magic Films on Vimeo.

Last Saturday (20th June) and we headed off for Northbrook Park near Farnham for Blaine and Rebecca’s wedding. We started the day by meeting the groom and ushers at the Bull pub for a pre-wedding drink (them, not us!!!) We had a couple of minutes so decided to film a quick Reservoir Dogs sequence (shown above) corny, but fun and different.

Once we finished filmed the lads we moved on to Northbrook. The first time here and I was impressed.  From a film-makers viewpoint it was ideal. Very light and bright and lots of varied locations – a lovely venue with  Pea-cocks ambling around.  Rebecca’s Dad has a great hobby – he builds custom Hot-Rods and there were three of them outside the venue. Amazing cars!

As I said, a lovely venue and with an orange theme the wedding room looked amazing. During the ceremony we were entertained by a very impressive quartet of female singers.  They sang as Rebecca and the bridesmaids came into the room as well as during the ceremony and while the registers were signed.

After the ceremony the photographer, Damiom Bailey, took the couple away for some shots. During this session we got some really nice footage. towards the end two black Labradors appeared and run towards the couple. They were Blaine and Rebecca’s family pets. So it added something different to the footage. I have to say, it’s the first wedding I have been to were the family pets have been guests!  Lovely dogs and extremely well behaved.

During the drinks reception a magician entertained the guests. It was a sunny afternoon set in an enclosed walled garden. A great atmosphere and people were clearly enjoying themselves. The photographer, Damiom, was a great guy, loads of personality. He worked at a great pace but seemed to get the best out of people, we got some terrific shots – I bet the photos look good.

During the wedding breakfast, the guests were entertained by James Deane, a really impressive live acoustic musician.  James played for an hour or so, covering some of the real classic Bob Dylan numbers as well as modern tracks.

The day finished (for us) with Blaine and Rebecca’s first dance to ‘Better’ by Boyzone. This was enthusiastically received by the guests. It was clear by look at Blaine and Rebecca that they had had a great day. We got some really good footage and are now half way through the edit

Another Sussex Wedding Video

Joe and Natalie’s Wedding

In Yer Face from Digital Magic Films on Vimeo.

Saturday saw us at The Buxted Park Hotel in Sussex to film Natalie and Joe’s wedding video.  Although a bit cloudy when we arrived, the sun broke through giving us a lovely sunny day – although sometimes a bit too warm for those wearing their wedding suits!  The marriage ceremony had a two nice readings from friends of Joe and Natalie plus a surprise performance from a Barber Shop Quartet.

With 120 guests there was plenty going on and plenty to film throughout the day. After the meal and speeches we took Joe and Natalie down to a small lake to film some footage of the two of them. This will look nice on their wedding video. It often isn’t realised just how little ‘romantic’ footage there is on the day and how difficult it is to get footage of just the couple on their own. I wish more couples would make time during the day for the videographer to do what we do best!!!!  After filming this sequence Joe told me how much they had actually appreciated the break and a chance just to be on their own for a few minutes.

The evening brought out the best in the wedding guests who were clearly in party mood. Cover band ‘ In Yer Face’ performed a great set with some of the old classics.  Great performers, the band had the guests on the dance floor for some really lively footage. We have posted a short clip from the evening, given a little tastes of the atmosphere and action.

We finally finished filming at 10.00 pm. with some good fotage in the bag. However, after getting half way home I realised that I had left a tripod behind and had to drive all the way back to Buxted Park!
