A Sussex Wedding | Emma & Sean’s Highlights from Digital Magic Films on Vimeo.
We have now finished the full edit of Emma and Sean’s wedding video. The above clip from their wedding video shows the highlights of the day.  I am pleased with the final edit and feel that it has captured both the mood and atmosphere of the day. I hope that it will serve as a permenant reminder for Emma and Sean. All in all a lovely day with a lovely couple. Please feel free to post any comments by using the link below.

Emma and Sean’s Wedding Video

March 25th, 2009 Frank No comments

The edit on Emma and Sean’s wedding video is coming alone fine and should hopefully be finished tomorrow. We have uploaded a short clip of the marriage vows because they were particularly nice. Although Cuckfield Church is a lovely church and the vicar very helpful, it is a difficult church to film in due to the presence of an open wood partition separating the choir area from the main body of the church.

Unfortunately, there is a wooden support post that blocks the ideal view of the bride and groom, so drastically cutting down the filming angle. Ideally, all filming would be made off a static tripod during the ceremony, but because of this narrow filming angle a certain amount of mobility is required to prevent the bride being blocked by the vicar.

All in all I feel that the footage has come out well – allowing for the normal YouTube compression

Sussex Wedding at Ashdown Park Hotel

March 19th, 2009 Frank No comments

We started the edit of Emma and Sean’s wedding video today. They were married just over a week ago at Cuckfield Holy Trinity Church. We started the day filming Emma’s preparations and then moved on to the church. Although it was a nice sunny day, there was a bitterly cold wind. It was nice to meet photographer Darren and his wife from Darren Charles Photography again. It’s always pleasant to work with Darren.

A nice ceremony with a couple of nice readings and off to the reception held at the magnificent Ashdown Park Hotel in Sussex.  As I said, it was a bitterly cold day and when Darren suggested that the bride and groom should go down to the lake for photos, I didn’t really expect them to be too keen! I had a shirt and jacket on and the wind was biting through that.  Emma, spent about 45 minutes outside with just her wedding dress – bare shoulders and arms – and didn’t seem to feel the cold. I’m sure Darren got some great shots – we certainly got some good footage.

All in all the day was just how a wedding should be, relaxed and fun. When I popped to the car to have a quick bite to eat I was amazed to see a small group of deer walking around the grounds! Anyway, they have given us about ten music tracks to work with and told us that they are looking for a fairly traditional wedding video. We got some great footage throughout the day – so really looking forward to starting the edit. We should have a short video of the highlights from the day up live in the next few days.
